Des’s Bus Company, officially known as Des’s Transport was rebranded in 2024. Des’s Bus Company offers a range of transport services for both personal and commercial applications. Our fleet offers a range of vehicles in sizes from 13 seaters right through to 54 seat coaches. No matter the application we have a vehicle that will suit your needs.

Whyalla Bus Service

Des’s is contracted to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to provide the local Bus Route Service to the Whyalla community 5 ½ days a week. Please refer to the timetable for further information.

Port Augusta Bus Service

Des’s is contracted to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to provide the local Bus Route Service to the Port Augusta community 5 days a week. Please refer to the timetable for further information.

Port Pirie Bus Service

Des’s is contracted to the Department for Infrastructure and Transport to provide the local Bus Route Service to the Port Pirie community 5 1/2 days a week. Des’s is also contracted to provide School Bus Services, The Southern Flinders Connector, The Southern Flinders Medical Bus Service and Assisted Access Services. Please refer to the timetables for further information.

Charter Service

We offer charter services that cater for all types of groups. This is perfect for schools, end of year sporting trips, local community groups even Crows and Port Power trips.

Mining Bus Services

We have extensive experience in providing Mining services to GFG, Walga Mining, Ozminerals and the like. We are aware of the high standards and special conditions required to operate in these areas. We have buses fitted out with GPS, CCTV and Fatigue Management systems.

We understand the importance of Safe Operations to staff, passengers, contractors and clients alike. Safety is a constant focus of all our managers, supervisors and employees. Our fleet is maintained in our fully equipped Workshop in Whyalla, staffed by qualified and experienced Motor Vehicle and Diesel Mechanics. Safe, reliable and timely passenger transport has generated long term contract work. We are proud of the repeat work and clientele who entrust us with the safety and well-being of their staff and members

Taxi run for thinking of the student in a wheelchair by reversing back onto the concourse to unload him. It was commendable to see the driver think of road safety for this student and the other student passengers. Well done!

My wife and I were left high and dry when a pre-booked transport arrangement with another company from Port Elliot to the Parador Airport Inn West Beach did not turn up at 4.30pm. Despite two calls to this service provider no calls were answered or returned.At 5.00pm we contacted Des’s Cabs.The male radio operator at that time (did not get his name) although very busy went out of his way and was able to arrange transport for us very quickly and efficiently. We express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the radio operator for the way he went out of his way to help us out in this situation.Also thanks to driver Mark who arrived promptly and drove us to West Beach. What a great guy. Great customer focus and discussion. Made the trip very enjoyable. Keep up the good work. Will certainly use your service in the future.
